This page describes exactly what MoonMars stores about you, where it is kept, and how to get rid of it. It is written from the code that runs this site, not from a template.
It covers moonmars.com, moonmarsmuseum.com and moonqr.com. They are three sites run by the same company, and since 9 August 2026 they share one database and one member list — so one description of it is more honest than three that drift apart. Signing in on any of them signs you in to the same MoonMars account.
The short version: we keep the little you type into your profile and the e-mail address you give us if you ask to hear from us. We do not track you around the web, we do not sell anything to anyone, and there are no advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
MoonMars is run by MoonMars B.V., registered in the Netherlands under KvK number 84981369. You can delete your own data without asking anyone — see Deleting everything below. If you would rather ask a question first, write to hello@moonmars.com and a person will answer.
Only if you sign in and fill it in yourself:

And if you put your address on one of our lists — the artist open call, the Lunar Cards deck, or the mission newsletter — we store that e-mail address, the fact that you consented, which form you used, and the date. Nothing else.
The sign-up form on moonmarsmuseum.com asks for a little more: your name, your e-mail address and, if you choose to give it, an organisation — so we know who we are writing to. If you use the Google button there, Google supplies your name and e-mail and nothing else; it does not create an account, and there is no password. Those sign-ups are kept in the same database, in their own list.
What we deliberately do not store. Your location and time zone are read fresh when a feature needs them and thrown away immediately — they are never written to our database or to your device. That is a decision in the code, not a promise in a document.
The site keeps a copy of your profile in your browser's local storage so pages render instantly and still work offline. It is yours, on your device, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Signing in sets one cookie, on moonmars.com itself, that keeps you signed in. There are no third-party, advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner to click away.
Our database is Neon Postgres, hosted on AWS in Frankfurt, Germany. The site itself is served by Vercel. Sign-in is handled by Neon Auth.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google tells us your name and e-mail address, and knows that you signed in to MoonMars. That exchange is governed by Google's own privacy policy. You can use e-mail sign-in instead and Google is not involved.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the services above that are needed to run the site.
Until you delete it, or until you ask us to. We do not run an automatic expiry, because a dormant account is not the same as an abandoned one and deleting your stickers because you were away for a year would be rude.
On the Community page, under Your details, there is an Edit / delete my data button. It removes your profile, your stickers and your account itself from our database, and clears the copy on your device. It is immediate and it is not reversible.
To come off an e-mail list, go to moonmars.com/unsubscribe, type in your address and press the button. You do not need an account, you do not need to sign in, and nobody has to read your message and get round to it — the address is deleted there and then. Every mailing we send carries a one-press link to the same page. Those lists are held separately from accounts, so deleting your account does not remove you from a list you joined without one, and this is how you do that.
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. The two things people actually want, you can do yourself and immediately: delete your account from the Community page, and come off the e-mail lists at moonmars.com/unsubscribe. For anything else, one e-mail to hello@moonmars.com is enough — there is no form to fill in.
If you are in the EU and you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority — in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
MoonMars is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly keep data about them. If you believe a child has given us their details, write to us and we will remove it.
If we change what we collect, we change this page in the same breath, and the date at the top changes with it.
moonmars.io is a different site. The wallet and mint live at moonmars.io, which is run separately and has its own terms and privacy policy. This page covers moonmars.com, moonmarsmuseum.com and moonqr.com only. Following a link from here to there means leaving this site.
